CLOUGH HOUSE FARM AND BHS APPROVED LIVERY YARD AND STUD

Clough House Farm is situated 1mile from Ripponden A58 10 mins from J22 M62
The Horsfall family have been horse men and farmers way back as far back as anyone can remember there have always been cows, sheep, chickens, pigs, goats and a horse or two around Clough House.
Mr Maurice Horsfall and his wife Irene, unfortunately no longer with us, set up the farm in 1969 and it is now run by their son Kevin, his wife Alma and Oliver their son. Alma has been with horses all her life, falling in love with the ponies on the Pleasure Beach at the age of 2 and demanding to see them every day, she has never grown out of the 'pony girl' phase even after riding for over 50 years, is totally absorbed with the horse and sees no hope of a cure. Since meeting Kevin in 1992 and marrying him a year later she has worked with him and together they have found a way of remaining in farming by diversifying. They still keep beef, catle, sheep, pigs, goats, geese, turkeys ,chickens, collies, and whippets. The farm extends to over 130acres and now houses more than 25 horses, liveries and breeding stock of the Touchstone Stud, Irish Draught Horses pure and part bred and the standing Stallion Blackthorn or 'Ross' as he is known at home. A very impressive chap at 16.1 with 9.5 inches of bone and a temperament to die for he is a real sweet heart and is breeding fantastic quality stock. See him on the stud page or better still come and see him in the flesh we welcome visitors to see our stock.
